I work almost exclusively from photographs. Commissioning a portrait is simple: choose your photograph, medium (painting or pencil drawing) and portrait size, and then send me your photo with details of your order and a deposit payment.

Portraits are my interpretations of supplied reference photographs. Though a good likeness is obviously of the utmost importance, paintings are not photographic. Portrait paintings are painted in an Impressionist influenced technique. Please visit my Gallery pages for examples of previous commissions.
It is theoretically possible to combine 2 or more images into 1 portrait. I can only advise fully on this after seeing respective photographs. If you have an old black and white photograph from which you would like a full colour portrait painted, it may be possible to achieve given provision of sufficient colour information.
