| I work almost exclusively from photographs.
Commissioning a portrait is simple: choose your photograph, medium (painting
or pencil drawing) and portrait size, then send me your photo with details
of your order. Prices, which include UK postage and packing, start at £90 for a full-colour portrait and £30 for a black and
white pencil drawing. I offer art at a range of sizes to suit, which you
can find on my prices page.You can find further

| Portraits are my interpretations of supplied
reference photographs, though a good likeness is obviously the most important
element to each portrait commission. Paintings are not photographic and
up close are painted in an impressionist influenced technique. I do not
consider the commission completed until I have achieved a unified balance
of the best possible likeness with an attractive piece of art in itself. |
| If you have 2 or more images which you would
like combined into 1 portrait I can advise on this after seeing the photographs.
If you have an old black and white photograph which you would like a full
colour portrait painted from this can be achieved by also supplying sufficient
information on colouring of hair, eyes, skin etc. You can see an example
below. |
